Teaching with this Title

This program can be used in a variety of ways to enhance the learning experience. It can be used simply as a fun program. The children enjoy doodling, drawing simple lines and shapes of different colours and widths and using all the different tools inDazzle. Patterns can be made with pre-saved stamps and the large variety of tools, such as the rainbow tool, adds much excitement to colouring.

Dazzle can be to used to assist children in their language development on an individual or group basis. By drawing simple pictures children can exchange ideas and opinions. The teacher can introduce the children to new language experiences by loading images that have previously been created.

This program can be used to assist children with fine motor difficulties. It can be a wonderful scribble pad. Shapes can be drawn and coloured and text can be entered and copied in a variety of fonts and sizes. A graphics tablet can add an additional dimension to painting and drawing when used with this program. Some children may need to be introduced and shown how to draw with this program.

One of the disadvantages of Dazzle is that when children decide that they would like to undo some of their actions they find that only the last action can be removed using the undo tool. This is not sufficient. They may then need further assistance in becoming familiar with this feature. Children may also continue to place their pictures in the bin if they become dissatisfied with them. One can counteract this by removing the bin tool from the toolbar.
