SUMMARY These books are ideal for the struggling older readers as the stories are interesting and short enough not to be too laboured. The auditory support increases reading success. No matter what level reader a student is he/she is at, working at the same type of exercise as the rest of the class/group. The teacher option screen allows the teacher to set options for individual students. Struggling readers can use the read all option to follow the story word for word. This can be turned off for the developing readers but individual word help is still available. This software can also be used with a switch. The Start to Finish books are ideal for library /reading class or as part of a shared reading project. The fact that they come in 3 formats, you can have one group using laptops, another group using tape and a third group reading either on their own or with another student.
