This FIVE STEPS Website project is a 2006 www.softwarecentral.ie project funded by the NCTE.

The aim of the project was to create a school website using the WebSiteX5 software and to evaluate the benefits this software provides as a web development tool for teachers and pupils

The emphasis of the project was on the planning process and the quality of the websites' content.

This project commenced in February 2006 and over an 8 month period schools throughout the country began the process of creatig their school website.

Introductory support sessions were held in the participating Education Centres. During these sessions the teachers received a copy of the software to begin work in their schools. Guidelines and advice on creating school websites were also provided.
