Language learning tools

This section is based on some of the tools that were demonstrated at Joe Dale's French.ie Workshop: Integrating ICT tools for French in NUIM in Feb 2007. Although the course dealt with French, the tools are easily used in other languages.

Joe Dale is French teacher at Nodehill Middle School on the Isle of Wight. He is a Lead Practitioner for The Specialist Schools and Academies Trust, and speaks at Language World, BETT and The Language Show. He writes for the TES and the ICT news update section of www.languages-ict.org.uk. Read Joe's blog at www.joedale.typepad.com

To create your own sound files will require a third party Audio Recorder such as Audacity
Games included Speak and Place, Listen and Match & Listen and Spell.
