Christmas Assembly 2008.
A large group of parents joined all the children and staff for our annual Christmas assembly. The assembly began with a presentation of a cheque for €331 to Michael Wann on behalf of Goal.The money was raised with a no uniform day supporting the Goal St.Stephen's day walk and swim.
Mr.O'Sullivan continued by congratulating all the pupils who had achieved success in a variety of competitions recently . Megan who won the essay competition Our school makes a Difference read out her essay and was then presented with her prize by Mr O'Sullivan.Well done Megan.
There were lots of cheers when children saw themselves in the photo story presentation which followed showing many photos from plays,art work from around the school and much more.
We were treated to a song from second class-Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, a poem from third The Christmas Dog,and fifth class played carols on their recorders.
We would like to thank the parents association for all their support in all our school activities over the year-especially the Christmas assembly.



Christmas decorations.
This year we once again had a great entry for the Christmas tree Decoration Competition.All decorations had to be made from recycled materials.Six prizes were awarded and all the decorations and the tree have been moved to the church where they can be viewed by the whole community over the festive period.Well done to everyone who took part-all the entries showed great creativity.



Who's that knocking at the door?
Santa dropped in the middle of our assembly and joined in many songs and carols before giving all the children some sweets.Ho,ho,ho. You better watch out!
