Whoops A Daisy Angel 2010.

The children in Ms Mc Garraghy's Junior Infants class performed a lovely musical in the school hall on Friday the 17th of December. The children dressed as shepherds, snowflakes angels, the wise men and Mary and Joseph retold the Christmas story in a magical way through the lead character Whoops a Daisy and delighted the hugh crowd who attended the show.It was a great achievement to learn all those songs and lines. There was a lot of talent on display -well done to all involved.

The Late Wise Man.

This years production from sixth class was the very entertaining musical The Late Wise Man.The children added to the story line with their own versions of Ready Steady Cook and the singing and dancing delighted all who watched.Well done to all in Mrs O Boyle's class.

The Sleepy Shepherd.

There were alot of strange noises coming from Mr Brennan's room in the weeks prior to Christmas and when we investigated we discovered a very sleepy shepherd who snored very loudly!!Luckily for him he was surrounded by angels, wise men, shepherds who helped him on his journey to discover the new born baby Jesus.Once again we had great performances from all the children in the class -well done to all.

The Snowman.

In contrast to all the other Christmas themed musicals, the pupils in Ms. Donohue's class performed a mime to the famous story The Snowman by Raymond Briggs. This book was first published in 1978 and in 1982 it was made in to a 26 minute long animated movie by Dianne Jackson. The children retold the story through their actions and we all enjoyed listening to the song Walking in the Air as they brought this seasonal story to life for us. Well done everyone.

Countdown to Christmas.

As the title suggests the children in Third Class counted down to Christmas with their performance of this musical which centered on a family and the demands on a household particularly the mum to cook ,clean ,shop and prepare for the big event. The children entertained us all with their singing and acting.Well done to all in Mrs Connell's class.

A festival of Christmas Carols and Song.

Our first class pupils entertained us with a large collection of Christmas favourites from Jingle Bells to Frosty the snowman,Silent Night to Away in a Manger and many more. The children all dressed up for the occasion and we had a fine collection of angels, santas, reindeers and even a Christmas tree!It was great to join in with the singing and it brought the Christmas season to life for us all.Well done to Ms Walsh and thank you to Mr O' Sullivan who accompanied the class on guitar.
