December News .

Once again we would like to thank the Leonard family for the beautiful trees which they donated to the school.The children are all busy making decorations out of recyclable materials and soon the trees will be laden down.There will be a little prize for the best decoration so keep working on them.

School Mass.

Our school mass with gifts for the crib will take place this Wednesday the 17th of December at 11.30 am in the Church. The children usually bring in gifts of non-perishable foods which St.Vincent de Paul usually distribute.This year donations are needed more than ever and good quality toys would also be most welcome.

Non uniform day.

This Friday the 19th of December will be a non uniform day.Children are asked to make a contribution on the day and all proceeds will go to Goal as part of a fund raising walk organised by Michael Wann.The walk will take place in Raughley on St Stephen's Day and everyone is invited to participate.

School plays .

Many classes are busy rehersing plays and there are lots of angels,shepherds and even a couple of santas!around the school at present.Roll on Christmas Day is a song from one play and all the children are looking forward to the holidays on the 23rd.

Congratulations to our recent prize winners.

A pupil from sixth class has once again won the county prize in an essay competition based on the title Making a Difference.
Well done Megan.
Erin from fourth class won the Sligo Weekender's competition to design an advertisemnet for their Christmas magazine,
Well done to both girls.
