6th Class Dance with the Young Americans!
On Thursday February 8th we went to Mercy College Sligo. We met all the "Young Americans". The "Young Americans" are a "Show Choir" group from the USA. First they did a warm up and afterwards they taught us this class dance. They were very friendly to us; they are very nice people. When we finished they dance they all gave us a high five and said, "You guys are brilliant!" Then we had a competition, girls first then boys but they said that we were all winners. So everyone can say that today was an excellent day and a great experience for 6th class boys and girls.
Cumann na mBunscol
For the first time in a number of years the school had teams entered in the indoor hurling competition. The boys' and girls' teams participated against Gaelscoil Chnoc na Ré and Strandhill NS in Collooney on Thursday 8th February. Both teams acquitted themselves well
The Outdoor Gaelic competitions will soon be commencing. A hurling coach has been visiting the school over the last number of months imparting valuable skills to the children. The I.T. coaching scheme will commence after the mid-term break with specialised G.A.A. coaching taking place for all classes.
