November/December News.
We would like to thank all the children and parents for their generosity once again this year with operation Christmas Shoebox in association with Team Hope. Over one hundred and thirty Christmas shoeboxes were collected on Monday the 15th of November by a volunteer for the organisation .
The pupils in fourth class together with Mrs Power organised a book sale to raise money towards the purchase of a new set of graded readers for all classes in the school.They made €773 which was a fantastic start and other fund raising events are in the pipe line.Thank you to all those who donated and bought books on Friday the 26th of November.
The Parents Association have organised a community Christmas concert and this will take place in the hall on Sunday the 12th of December 2010.All are welcome to this display of great local talent.The show is due to start at 3pm. Come along and enjoy mulled wine ,mince pies and other Christmas treats .Admission €5 per family.
Gifts at the crib mass in aid of St Vincent de Paul has been rescheduled for Wednesday the 15th of Dec at 11am.The commitment service for the confirmation class will also take place at this mass.Parents of sixth class are welcome to this mass.
Junior and Senior Infants are going to the Hawks Well on Thursday the 16th whilst first and second class will enjoy another Tallisman production on Monday the 20th December.
Christmas Entertainment
Many classes are preparing for their annual Christmas Themed plays and we are all looking forward to these productions .In fact fifth class have already entertained us all with their Panto Cinderella and Rockafella.The children showcased their talents at singing, dancing and acting- Rathcormack's Got Talent!! Well done to Ms Haran for all her hard work.
