October News
We continued on with our tradition of supporting the North west Hospice when we held a coffee morning on Thursday the 22nd of October.Once again the tables in the hall were laden with cakes and buns and each class enjoyed a healthy snack during the day!We had a large number of parents in after 1 o'clock and our thanks to sixth class and Margaret,Dolores and Anne for all their help.John Kelly from the Hospice received a cheque for €1070 at a recent assembly .
Drama all around!
We had a number of treats before Halloween.Sixth class entertained all classes with a fantastic production called the Babbling Banshees which they adapted and made their own.Meanwhile third class performed a play from their Alive -O programme called What's the Story.Can you spot which picture belongs to each play?
Fun on the yard.
It was decided to use some of our PE equipment during lunch time to make the breaks more fun.Once again the children in sixth class are organising activities for all classes up to third,leaving the basketball courts free for fourth and fifth class.They are rotating activities each week from balls and hoops to mini basketball and skipping games.It is a great success.Everyone is participating and having fun.
