October News.
Once again the school organised a coffee morning to help raise funds for the hospice on the 1st of October.The hall tables were laden with buns,cakesa and goodies of every sort.Sixth class worked like trojans all day serving all the children and the large group of parents who also enjoyed a coffee and a sandwich.Thank you to all those who helped out on the day and we were delighted to present John kelly from the hospice with a cheque for €1320




Sligo Rovers Visit.
We were delighted to welcome a number of Sligo Rovers players to the school.They were promoting a healthy eating plan encouraging the children to eat a balanced diet.They also spoke about the importance of dairy products and energy foods together with exercise and participation in sports.Each child received a signed poster ,fridge magnet,ruler and match passes to future Sligo Rovers games.




Halloween fun.
On friday the 24th of October some very scary visitors arrived in rathcormack.They all entered the assembly hall at 12 mid-day to the sounds of Michael Jackson's Thriller.The hall was lit by a giant pumpkin grown in our local organic garden.All the children enjoyed the fun and the Halloween party continued in many classrooms where the children ducked for apples,munched through barm brack and monkey nuts and listened to spooky stories!
