ALL WELCOME

AGM was held on Monday 15th October in the School Hall at 8.30pm. Feedback was given on all the road safety work done to date by the previous committee and a new committee was elected. Martin Keville continues as Chairperson and Kathryn Branley as Treasurer, Miriam Connaughton-Jones is the new secretary with Anette Henry as assistant secretary.

We would like to thank the outgoing committee for all their hard work and especially Margaret Regan as the outgoing secretary.

Road Safety Feedback
Please check out feedback from the parent meeting of the 21st March by clicking HERE and an Analysis of the Current Situation by the Parent Working Group by clicking HERE. These are important issues for all of us. The safety of the children is paramount.

The RPA are currently working on safety outside the school and a working group has been set up. We have made a request for information and support, readressing the dangerous traffic situation outside the school gates, from Mr Brian Farrell (Road Safety Authority), Mr Val Baynes (Safety Officer, Sligo County Council), Mr Rory Leahy (Area Manager, Bus Eireann) and a sergeant from the Traffic Division, An Garda Siochána, Sligo.

PUB QUIZ 29th March

The Rathcormac Parent Association held a Pub Quiz in Collins' Lounge Bar on 29th March. It was an excellent evening and raised €650. Some of the money raised is earmarked for window boxes for the front of the school, a feature that was very successful and much appreciated last year.

Margaret Regan
Secretary RPA
