Summer time 2009.
Over the last few weeks we had some very important days in our school year.On Saturday the 16th of May second class received their first holy communion and the following Thursday the 21st of May sixth class were confirmed by Bishop Christopher Jones.We would like to congratulate the children and their teachers Mrs Power and Mrs O'Boyle who prepared the children so well for the sacraments.Once again we would like to thank our parents association who hosted the party following the communion.Thank you to all those who helped out on the day.
CPR Training with sixth class.
On Wednesday the 3rd of June Margaret Moran from the HSE together with three paramedics Eddie,Mark and Niall arrived to sixth class for a CPR training session.Following a very informative talk the children got to put theory into pracice working on the five models.They also learned how to recognise the signs of stroke and what to do in the event of someone choking.These are all essential life skills and the pupils were delighted to have had this opportunity to learn new skills.
