Live Music In the Classroom 2009.

As part of the Live Music in the Classroom program third class enjoyed a visit from a local string quartet group on the 22nd of April.Anna,Steve, Austin and Francis brought the music of Vivaldi to life focusing on the Spring section of The Four Seasons.The workshop also allowed the children to explore rhythms and compose simple tunes using the chime bars and percussion instruments.Anne-Marie joined the quartet and showcased the voice as an instrument .The children sang three part rounds and Anne-Marie even challenged the children with an Italian song.On the 30th of April third class are looking forward to attending The Vogler school concert in Drumcliff Church where they will hear the music of Dvorak.
